Whenever you Bluetooth PC Headset is 'turned on' and 'connected' in Windows XP, it should be recognised as the 'Default Audio Device' for audio playback and recording. You can check whether this is the case by doing the following:
Step 1: Click 'Start -> Control Panel';
Note: You may have to select Windows 'Classic' view of your control panel in order to see a screenshot like the one pictured above.
Step 2: Select 'Sounds and Audio Devices then click on the 'Audio' tab of the dialog box that pops up;
You should see 'Bluetooth Audio' listed as the default audio device for both 'sound playback' and 'sound recording'. If your Bluetooth PC Headset isn't listed as the default audio device, check to see whether you can select it as such. If not, your Bluetooth PC Headset may not have been correctly installed. As soon as you 'disconnect' your Bluetooth PC Headset from your computer, Windows should automatically revert your default audio device back to what the setting was before you connected your headset.
